Donor Appreciation: Johnny & Susan Sides

Johnny and Susan Sides first heard of Salem Pregnancy through their former church, Pinedale Christian. They knew some members were volunteering with SPCC but later found out much more when they worked on the church’s missions committee. After further hearing about the work of Salem, they felt this was a ministry in line with God’s word. They wanted to get on board with the fight against the shedding of innocent blood so that more lives could be saved. Their love for the Lord and obedience to Him resulted in their first financial gift to Salem.

Through the Sides’ philanthropy, they intend to only support organizations that openly do work in the name of Jesus. Their ultimate giving principle is to expand the Kingdom of God. If Johnny could encourage others, he would say this: “If God gives you certain gifts, use them. If God gives you the gift of giving and you’ve been blessed, then give to those that are doing work in the name of Jesus. Be obedient to the nudging of the Holy Spirt.”
