Volunteer Opportunities

We couldn’t provide the FREE services we offer without the help of our team of volunteers. See below for each volunteer job and the detailed description of each job.

Administer pregnancy tests and review medical forms with client. Must hold a current CMA,RN, NP or PA license valid for North Carolina. SPCC will provide medical malpractice insurance for currently licensed CMAs, RNs, & NPs. PAs must have permission from their supervising physician to provide charity care under their own medical malpractice insurance.

Time commitment: 1-2 times per month for 2-3 hours each time.

Work one-on-one with clients. Duties include assisting with pregnancy test clients, educating clients on options, making referrals, peer-counseling, etc. Training is required and provided.

Assist with fundraising projects such as Baby Bottle Campaign and Annual Banquet. Example tasks could include preparing and delivering baby bottles, soliciting sponsors and donations for Community Day door prizes and Benefit Dinner silent auction.

SPCC is also seeking professional fundraisers and experienced grant writers to provide assistance in developing fundraising strategies and to research and write grant applications.

Time commitment: Varied times throughout the year as your schedule allows

Coordinate community outreach opportunities in your church or community group, possibly including but not limited to: organizing a Baby Bottle Campaign; including SPCC in local missions events, baby showers, Bring It In boxes and/or other creative ways to get your community involved; as well as championing SPCC and life affirming options to your church or community group’s leadership team.

Time commitment: Varies according to what your church and/or community group allows and according to what activities you orchestrate within your church and/or community group

Any professional services you wish to volunteer. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Photography
  • Building/Contracting
  • Painting
  • Legal Work
  • Accounting
  • Professional fundraiser
  • Grant writer

Represent SPCC at community events (booth/table) answering questions and handing out materials.

Help to process incoming donations and ensure our clients have a great shopping experience. Training providied.

Before you get started: You will be asked for 3 personal references (one of them being spiritual). Go ahead and get their name, phone# and email addresses ready because the form will time out if you take more than 40min to finish the survey. Please plan on taking at least 30 minutes to fill out this application, as it entails in depth and personal questions. *If you filled out an application more than 90 days ago and did not complete the process (references/volunteer interview) you will need to re-apply
