A mother of four that we’ll call Jessica came to us pregnant with her fifth child. This time, she did not want to be pregnant. With her four other children, she was trying to leave an unsafe marriage until learning of this new pregnancy. Feeling trapped and overwhelmed, she came to SPCC. She had not yet told anyone and was questioning what to do.

As she sat down with one of our caring advocates, she told her story. They went over all her options. After their conversation, we offered her a free ultrasound. Seeing her baby’s strong heartbeat at merely seven weeks was a shock. She stated that the ultrasound influenced her decision to think further about her choice. From that point on, she wanted to figure out a way to have the baby while still making the right life changes for her and her children.
