Why I Serve: Michelle Minnich, SPCC Board Chair

Michelle Minnich has been serving on SPCC’s board for nearly three years and has served as the board chair for the past two years. She played an integral role in the decision to purchase SPCC’s soon-to-be home on 3001 Maplewood Avenue. Her dedication to the vision of Salem Pregnancy is unmatched and we are incredibly thankful for her service

“When I was first asked to consider serving on the Board of Directors for Salem Pregnancy Care Center, I was already familiar with some of the work they do, but had no idea the extent to which they strive to serve the whole person – and really the family unit – of each client. Of course the sanctity of life of the unborn is critically important, and SPCC also recognizes that by coming alongside women during pregnancy and supporting them after they give birth as well, they establish relationships and effectively reach people – mothers, children and fathers – with the hope-filled message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful we have this all-encompassing ministry in Winston-Salem and am honored to play a small role in carrying out the mission of SPCC.

As we prepare to move into our new location, it is so exciting that we will be easily accessible to those women who may have only felt they had one option. God has shown Himself in so many ways during this process and I am confident that he will continue to use the SPCC staff, volunteers, supporters and the new building to shine His light. The Board and staff have been busy in preparing for this new chapter in the ministry of SPCC. We held our first ever Board retreat in January and I am excited to see how our planning efforts will help further the work of this ministry. We praise God for the things he has done, is doing and will continue to do through SPCC and through you, our faithful supporters!”
